Light Structure
Light Structure explores the space between architecture and memory. Emerging from darkness and atmosphere, these abstract forms suggest monuments, shelters, and forgotten modernist ruins illuminated by shifting light.
Created with layers of oil, cold wax, graphite, and oil pastel, the paintings are inspired by the desert landscape, mid-century architecture, and the emotional resonance of place. Rather than depicting specific buildings, they evoke the feeling of encountering a structure that feels both familiar and unknowable—simultaneously grounded in reality and suspended in imagination.
Each work becomes a meditation on light as both a physical and symbolic presence: revealing, obscuring, and transforming the spaces we inhabit.
